You can support tree planting around the world in at least two ways:-
- Use Ecosia as your search engine, at no cost to yourself
- Go to the Treesisters site. “Your gift will fund the planting of tropical trees, sequestering carbon and directly help replenish the world’s forests”
How do trees communicate?
See Suzanne Simard’s talk at Nobel Conference 54, introducing the concept of a “mother tree,” the hub of a network of trees that communicate with each other through mycorrhizal relationships – connections facilitated by microscopic fungi in the soil. Find out how trees use these relationships to communicate about food sources, and about pests and other dangers.
This is also explained in the film Call of the Forest.
